Ausbildung

A 'vocational training in Germany' is just another term for 'Ausbildung in Germany'. It means the same. A vocational training/ausbildung is a training of 2-3 years to become a skilled worker. In Germany, this training has a high reputation and offers good career and salary options!

Studienkolleg

Studienkolleg is an institution which provides a bridge for international students to study programs in Germany. The purpose of the Studienkolleg is to prepare students to take a final exam (the Feststellungsprüfung or FSP) which grants them permission to attend a degree program in a German university.

Bachelor's

The BACHELOR's degree is the first academic degree. It teaches the basics of a subject and is recognised as a fully featured course of academic study that allows you to immediately embark on your career after graduating.

Master's

A Masters degree is the second level of degree that can be obtained at a German university, after a Bachelors degree. It allows students to gain in-depth knowledge of a subject in an advanced course of study that lasts between two and four semesters.

PhD

A doctorate is the highest academic degree that a university can award. In Germany, studying for a doctorate primarily means working intensely on a specific subject or research project for a long period of time. It typically takes five to six years to obtain a doctorate, though the length of time can vary.
